This was such a relatable well presented experience. The waves of the short story rose and crashed in the perfect places. The pacing was so nice. The uncomfortable parts folding into the horror was absolutely perf. Thank you for making me cry <3
Hey, did you use an engine or library of any kind for this? I'm thinking of making my own VN for PlayDate and really really enjoyed yours, and think it would be nice to be able to use the same base you did for this.
Had to uninstall it as it triggered me badly. I wish this had had a trigger warning when I found it. It's not 18+ because of sexual or thriller elements, it's that rating because it's a vn about r*pe. It also just opens on that scene with no warning or lead up, which meant I had no chance to avoid it...
I really liked what I played, but it always crashes my playdate a few minutes in. It happens at the part in the kitchen when the word evil is repeated a bunch. It has crashed 5 times and I have deleted and redownloaded it a few times. Any ideas?
im unsure, unfortunately... i thought i got rid of the crashes but i guess this one got through for you (and hopefully not too many others...); its a finicky console to work with and im by no means the greatest programmer; ill see if i can replicate the crash on hardware. im fairly certain it runs on the simulator just fine <_<;
Good to know it works on the simulator. If I cannot get it to work on the Playdate I will have to try setting up the simulator. Thank you for your response!
holy shit, this is great. just played through and i'm still a little on edge, haha. i'd love to see more of this kinda thing on playdate, and i'm definitely gonna check out your other game!
I read through your vn. Felt it was made respectfully. It made me very uncomfortable at times but the redemption arc was powerful. Really hope you do some more projects like this.
This is an excellent little VN~ I love the music and sound design, and the dithered visuals are a real treat, heheheh—and the writing! Lord, the writing is powerful, so visceral as it is... The story hit very close to home, suffice it to say; the scenario was executed so well that it made my stomach churn with its familiarity, in fact.
Great work on this one! I'm very much looking forward to your future work~
I especially liked the use of dithering and the graphics for this. I love the Playdate for all of the great and different products people are making for it. This game is definitely one of those things which would never be on the Gameboy, but fits in well with the quirkiness of the Playdate. Thank you for making this dark visual novel!
